Here are the six eyeglass leashes/chains that I'm sending off to Just By Hand and The Cottage at Jeckyll Island, Georgia. The owners will sell them for less than the shop in California (naturally) so I had to down play them some.
I began bead weaving in November 2006. My inspirations were a bracelet that friend bought for me and a necklace that I bought at the Visionary Art Museum in Baltimore. Looking at both of them I thought, "Oh, I could do that!" and off I went. I basically taught myself using the loads of information available on the Internet. There are more free patterns than you could use in a lifetime as well as many, many sites demonstrating the different stitches and offering hints along the way. So far I'm not being very creative in my designs but maybe that will come.
