Sally's Projects

2006

This black and silver bracelet was made with Memory Wire. It is not woven but is still fun and made a striking bracelet.I gave this to Susan also. November 2006

This was another of my early experiments. I used two bangle bracelets and strung colorful beads between them making a wide bangle bracelet. Susan received this bracelet as well. November 2006

This Christmas necklace was my most ambitious project. This one I kept! December 2006

This was my very first beading project.I copied the directions from the Internet and bought the beads while on vacation in Nashville. I gave the final project to Susan. November 2006

In the beginning there were no beads :-)

This is a "Busy Book"
I made for a baby present. I had made my own kids a books using the same pattern about 27 years ago!

Raggedy Ann was made for a baby shower in July 2007.

This cornucopia was made about 20 years ago but since it was out for Thanksgiving I decided to put a picture of it here. I really had fun making it with fabric scraps!

I saw the directions for these clowns in an issue of Women's Day in Fall 1980. I made one for Susan and her little best friend, Biz. I made one for Brooke. And then I made one, made one, made one... Soon it was Christmas time I was selling them for $10 a piece which I thought was highway robbery (especially since I had gobs of fabric scraps) and the buyers thought it was such a deal :-) About six months ago I got a call wanting to know if I could please make one for the next generation :-)

An African American woman asked me if I could make a black clown as she was pretty sure she could sell a few if I could do it. I did and she did, too!

These clowns are definitely in my "Top 10" of the fun craft projects I've done!
