These beads are some kind of black and grey jasper stone though I'm not sure which. I will have to research this and correct the listing later. Black and silver 11° beads connect the larger dime beads. The necklace was made for a friend for her birthday. Hope she likes it!

This autumn necklace is done by straight stringing. Nothing fancy but it sure mirrors the trees outside right now! I made one for me and one for a friend.
Added 10/31: I wore my necklace to work on Wednesday and a friend there did the appropriate "oohhhhing and awwwing" to warrant herself a necklace of her very own :-) I had just enough glass leaf beads to make one for her. She was quite surprised and quite pleased. Yea! Life is good.

Where have I been, you might ask. I've been very STUCK on this project. I didn't know how to move forward and was determined not to hide it in a drawer unfinished and move on to something else. I really liked creating the bag but then what? I totally thought it needed fringe but couldn't come up with anything I liked or at least not with the beads I have on hand. (Did I mention that my bead store is no more?) So I put it in the drawer after all but took a break from beading for a while. My sister saw it and remarked that she didn't think it needed fringe. Oh! Why didn't I think of that? But it did need something and I think the beads on the bottom are exactly right.

The strap begins blue on the blue side of the bag and brown on the brown side which maybe you can't even see in the photos. The back is solid navy blue with twinkly white and yellow stars. The blue on front and bag is much darker than the photo shows.

I do like the bag but thought I was going to love it :-)

Pretty feet!

We finally got to meet Cassie. Yea! She and Jamie were here for a week in June and we really enjoyed them both! I wanted to make her a little something quick and sassy and came up with these Barefoot Sandals. She seems to like them...and we like her :-)

Susan has finally received her birthday present so I can now post this picture of the small amulet bag I made for her. It's the first amulet bag I've made and I've learned a lot! July 2008 Oops! Let me clarify...the present was made in plenty of time but she was sort of "between" places and we were afraid to mail her packages to her. Didn't want you to think that I slacking or anything :-)

April 2008

Here are two more eyeglass leashes/chains that I originally made to send to Georgia but then found out what she was paying and decided to keep them here. The amber-colored beads on the one on the left have a vitrial finish on one side as shown. I really like the diamond shaped silver beads on the black one. These are fun to make because each one is so different.

Here are the six eyeglass leashes/chains that I'm sending off to Just By Hand and The Cottage at Jeckyll Island, Georgia. The owners will sell them for less than the shop in California (naturally) so I had to down play them some.
